OWN IT – GIFTED TO SERVE

Read: Romans 12:3

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.”  (NIV Romans 12:3)

Study: Sometimes we can let God’s gifts get to our heads. We think that it is because of our hard work or our talent that we have success. We must not let our own pride go to our heads. Remember, our gifts are given to us by the grace of God. We must not think too highly of ourselves. We must think with sober judgement and remember that everything we have is a gift from God. How can you show thanks today for those gifts God has given you? If pride is something you struggle with, try to spend 10 or 15 minutes in silence, asking God to humble your soul.

Prayer: Lord God, humble my soul. Show me what it means to trust in you. I give you thanks for your never-ending grace.   Amen.
