Read: 1 Peter 4:10-11

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen”  (NIV 1 Peter 4:10-11)

Study: With the gifts given to us comes an immense responsibility. When God gives us gifts, we become representatives of God here on earth. Talk about pressure! What this means is that we should always act in ways that not only honor God, but also serve the Kingdom of God in everything we do. If, when we speak, we are speaking “the very words of God” that means that we have the power to do great harm to the way non-believers think about God. Today, consider how you are representing God in your workplace? Do your day to day actions reflect God in a way that honors God?

Pray: God, thank you for allowing me to receive your gifts. Show me how to represent you in a way that reflects your love to those around me. When I fall short, lift me up.  Amen.
