LIFE OF PIETY
Monday
Read: Acts 10:2
2 “He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.” (NIV Acts 10:2)
Study: This week we will be talking about living a life of piety. The word “devout” in our verse today means live in a manner that reflects God in all that you do. In other words, a pious, devout, godly person is deeply committed, earnest, and serious about his or her religious duties. A pious person reflects, outwardly, the inward work of God in their heart. Today, take a step in being a more pious follower of God. Ask God to change you so that all that you do is an imitation of his love.
Prayer: God, thank you for working in my heart. Help to be a reflection in this world of your love. May I dedicate my life to you and may all my actions be yours. Amen.
