STRENGTH AND DELIVERANCE

Thursday

Read: Psalm 73:26

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (NIV Psalm 73:26)

Study:  Humans are weak. We get sick. We get hurt. We die. These can bring great pain and sadness into our life but scripture reassures us that, while those pains of the flesh are real, God will give us strength forever. If you have suffered sickness or pain or if you have lost someone who you loved, look to God for strength. You can do all things through him who gives you strength. Never forget that you are loved by a mighty God who delivers his people from pain and oppression. If you need prayer or an ear to hear you, never hesitate to reach out to those around you who have committed to walk this Christian life together.

Pray: God, you delivered the Israelites from Egypt, you showed Esther the way to save your people, and you conquered death through your son Jesus. I know you will take care of me. Show me your presence and grace. Amen.
