HOPE AND FORGIVENESS

Read: Psalm 116:12-14,

¹² What shall I return to the Lord
    for all his goodness to me?

¹³ I will lift up the cup of salvation
    and call on the name of the Lord.
¹⁴ I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
    in the presence of all his people.

Study: For today, instead of reading a short devotional, I would like you to name, in your head, a few people who you struggle to forgive. Now, pull out your phone and set a 1 minute timer. Take a minute to ask God to assist you in forgiving these people. Remember though, forgiveness doesn’t always happen in an instant. Pray though, that you may begin the journey today towards forgiveness. After you do this, repeat this for each person you have named in your head.

Pray: God, forgive me and forgive those who trespass against me. Amen.
