SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Tuesday
Read: Colossians 1:9-10
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,” (NIV Colossians 1:9-10)
Study: Does everything you do please the Lord? When Paul was writing the people in Colossians, he was addressing new Christians who were trying to figure out how to be better followers in a city that made it difficult to live in a manner that reflected Christ. Paul’s advice was to be continually walking in a manner that pleases the Lord. Like today, it would have been easier to hide your beliefs and blend in with the culture around you. That is not who we are called to be as Christians. We are called to stand out and walk differently. Do something today that shows you are a Christian.
Pray: God, today, I ask that you give me the strength to follow you daily. Through all of the difficulties, may I stay true to your calling. In your name, Amen.
