SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Read: 2 Peter 3:18

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” (NIV 2 Peter 3:18)

Study: When we follow Christ, we grow in knowledge and grace. But what steps can we take to see this growth? Peter makes it clear in his writings that intentionality is key to this growth. We do not just happen upon spiritual growth. It is something that requires constant work on our behalf. We must be in daily prayer, we must read the scriptures, and we must always be mindful of our actions and how they reflect Christ. I challenge you this week to do those three things daily. When we take these tangible steps to follow Christ, we begin to grow to more resemble Christ.

Pray: Lord, lead me this week in my prayers, my readings, and my actions. May I be always intentional in following you.  Amen.
