GPS Guide December 4th

Read: Matthew 1:18-25

Study: “Do not be afraid.” These words must have been difficult for Joseph to hear. What would you think if your soon to be wife announced that she was pregnant and an angel appeared and told you to “not be afraid”? Joseph probably feared many things. He was afraid of the angel but he was probably afraid of what society would think of his marriage to an already pregnant woman. We are often afraid of what the world around us will think if we truly follow God and do what he has commanded us to do. Follow the lead of Joseph over this Advent season and allow Christ to lead you.

Prayer: Lord, Today I pray that you make yourself known to me. Even though I may fear what will happen when I follow you in this world, give me strength. Amen.
