Read: Psalm 52:8-9

Study: What does the Psalmist mean by saying, “I am like a green olive tree in the house of God.”? Did you know that there are olive trees that take up to twelve years to produce their first fruit? This means that we may not see the fruits of the Lord’s work in our life immediately. Sometimes it can take years. But this Psalm says that we should give thanks for the waiting! What are you waiting for? What would it mean to think of waiting as something good in your life?

Prayer: Patient God, Help me to find the holiness in waiting for your work. Give me the strength to continue your work even when I see no fruits. Amen.
