Hello Church Family! I hope God is blessing you and keeping you warm this week. This past Sunday we began our sermon series, “Our Legacy.” There are many Christians who came before us. These ancestors worked to bring the love of Jesus Christ to others. While these ancestors were not perfect, each of them have something important to teach us about how to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. I hope you will join us in the coming weeks as we journey through history together. In addition to our Sunday worship we are also publishing a daily devotional guide available at the bottom of our webpage (connectumc.org), and on our Facebook page. I hope you will join us in daily prayer throughout the season of lent.
One of the things our Christian ancestors taught us, is the importance of caring for those who are in need. Many in the church have asked about providing aid to the people of Ukraine during this time. The United Methodist Church has a ministry called the United Methodist Committee on Relief. This United Methodist organization has done the work of ministering to those in crisis for many years. Connect Church is opening donations from now until Easter for those who would like to contribute to Ukrainian aid.
