Happiness Guide – Gratitude Journal Day 12 – October 29, 2019

This week we are continuing the practice of journaling. Grab a notebook and for the next few days read the daily verse and journal question, then write your thoughts. Journaling can be a great way to “voice” or organize the jumble in our heart and mind to more clearly see God’s path for us.

Tuesday

Read: Philippians 3:6-9

as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless. But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.” (NIV Philippians 3:6-9)

Journal: Speaking of himself in Philippians 3:6, the Apostle Paul writes, “in legalistic righteousness, I was faultless.” How does Paul’s transformation from a persecutor of Christians to the leader of this new Christian movement influence or encourage you? We are all capable of great change and impact.
