Happiness Reflection Guide – October 1, 2019
Tuesday
Read: Romans 12:9
9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Study: We all wear masks at times. We put on a happy mask when we are really sad. We put on a confident mask when we have no clue what we are doing. Sometimes we even put on a Christian mask when we are not feeling very Christian. These masks can prevent us from being our true selves around those we are in relationships with. As Christian brothers and sisters, we are called to bring all of our joys and sorrows to Christ together. If we are not being our true selves, it can be hard to truly love each other in a way we are supposed to. What masks do you wear on a constant basis? Are these keeping you from being in honest relationship with others?
Prayer: Creator God, help we to rid myself of the masks I use to hide my true feelings. I want to lay them at your altar. Amen.
