Read: Genesis 12:1-3
“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” ” (NIV Genesis 12:1-3)
Study: When God called Abram, he told Abram to leave everything that he had to go where God had called him. Imagine being Abram in this story. Imagine being asked to leave your family, friends, and belongings. Imagine leaving everything you had ever known to follow God into the unknown. God knew that Abram needed to rely only on God and nothing else. Would you be able to do this? Would you be able to follow God into the unknown believing that God is working for your good? This is a very difficult question to ponder but I want you to consider what it would take for you to fully follow God.
Prayer: God, open my eyes to what is limiting me from fully following you. I offer my self to your loving grace and pray you lead me where I am called to go. Amen
