Connect Newsletter – Note From The Pastor (03-05-2025)

A Message From Pastor Adam
Hello Church Family!
Today is the beginning of the season of lent. If you are not familiar, lent is a season of preparation. A season where Christians are invited to grow in spiritual health as we journey towards easter. Tonight is our Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 PM, and I would love for you all to join us. Thought the season of lent we are focusing on the power of words. Words are a tool God gives to us that can be used to build up or tear down. I invite you all to join us for the season of lent so that we can grow in our use of words together.
May Christ bless you all, and I hope to see you soon!

Pastor Adam Ricks

Online Giving
For the month of February Connect Church will be transitioning from our old online giving platform (Vanco) to our new online giving platform (Church Office Giving). This transition will help streamline our contribution records and will reduce fees the church pays associated with electronic giving.  If you currently have automatic giving set up please follow this simple 2 step process.Go to church office giving and set up a new account. Select the “sign in” tab and then select “Create One” at the bottom of the page to create you new giving account. Please set up your automated giving for the amount and frequency you desire.Log into your old giving account with Vanco, and cancel any active transactions.

If you do not currently have automated giving set up, but would like to, simply go to Churchofficegiving and set up your new account.

We know transitioning to a new giving platform is not convenient, but we are very grateful to all of you for making this switch with us. If you have any tecnical issues please contact adam@connectUMC.ORG or Info@connectUMC.ORG, or simply call the church office (405) 285-7068), we will get any issues resolved.

As always, we are so grateful for your generosity and support. The ministry of Connect Church would not be possible without you!

Our words are important. The things we say, and how we say them, matter to the people in our community, people we love, and complete strangers. The power of words should not be taken lightly, and words should not be used frivolously. Join Connect Church as we grow together and understand the power of words.

Each of the four New Testament Gospels offers a different perspective relating to Jesus’s final days. While they deliver the same glorious message of God’s unfathomable love and Jesus’s redeeming grace, they each emphasis different lessons, messages, and stories. Insight into these four Gospels and their unique differences broadens our understanding and adds thought-provoking details to our own understanding of our picture of Jesus’s life and significance. During this Lenten Season, join us as we share in a six-week study exploring the stories of Jesus’s sacrifice for us.
