A Message From Pastor Adam
Hello Connect Church Family,
Each Fall I write a letter to celebrate the successes of the year, and begin our planning for next year. God has certainly been at work at Connect Church in 2022. In 2022 we got involved with a new ministry called the Lazarus Community. This new startup ministry Is helping people transition out of homelessness in the OKC area. During 2022 we were able to provide much needed labor and supplies to help further their mission. I am so excited to see how God continues to bless others through our relationship with the Lazarus Community.
In 2022 we have also hired a new children’s minister named Peyton James. Peyton has hit the ground running and is doing an awesome job teaching our kids about Jesus. It is such a blessing to get to see so many young people grow in their faith. One of the most important things we do at Connect Church is share the love of Jesus with others. So far this year we have already had 13 baptisms as new believers have stepped into their relationship with Jesus. It has been an amazing year, and I am so eager to see what happens in 2023.
In the coming weeks the leadership team of Connect Church will begin the process of planning and dreaming for our ministries of 2023. One of the key components of this planning process is budgeting for our ministries. We believe God has called us to do big and important things in the community, and we are asking you to join us as we prepare to answer God’s call. We are asking that you pray seriously about your financeial contributions to Connect Church in 2023. God calls us each to lives of generosity. After prayerful consideration, please fill out the online pledge form here: ConnectUMC.ORG. The leadership team will use these numbers to plan our budget and ministries for the upcoming year. It is our goal to have all commitment cards turned in by November 20th. We so appreciate your wiliness to help us with this information as we look to the future.
In Christ,
Pastor Adam Ricks
