ANGER
Thursday
Read: Colossians 3:13
13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (NIV Colossians 3:13)
Study: Often times, when we are angry, it can be hard to forgive those whom we are angry at. It is in these moments that we must remember the forgiveness that was first shown to us by Christ. Even though we sin and act against God throughout our lives, Christ died for us and forgives us. We may not feel like forgiving others, but we can work towards forgiveness regardless. One way to do this is to remember he love Christ has for you. If you can show but a fraction of that love to the person you angry at, you are on the right path. Consider someone in your life who has hurt you. This week pray about what it might take for you to begin your path towards forgiveness.
Prayer: Father God, even when I do not want to forgive, remind me that I am also forgiven. Amen
