WHY HOPE? = GRACE

FRIDAY

Read: Titus 2:13 ESV

“Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, “

Study: We can be irrationally hopeful because we know God will have the last word.  Sometimes hopelessness can creep into our lives because we feel like whatever hardship we face will have the last word.  On the day in which Jesus was crucified the disciples and the rest of Jesus’ followers felt like that was the end of the story.  That an unjust death would be an end to the story of Jesus.  However, 3 days later God demonstrated that sin, death, and darkness would never have the last word.  We can be hopeful because no matter how dark things are today, or tomorrow, ultimately God will have victory.  Do you believe God is more powerful than your darkness?  Do you believe that God will have the last word? 

Prayer: God help me to remember that you will always have the last word.  Help me to remember that you will bring light to whatever darkness I may face.  Thank you for being a God of hope.
