ANGER

Wednesday

Read: Ephesians 4:26

26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, (NIV Ephesians 4:26)

Study: “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angryThis has been a guiding verse in my life. Many of the issues that revolve around anger occur when people ignore their anger. In relationships, if anger is not addressed, it can build up over time and becomes something much different and can be far more complicated. Paul’s advice to the church in Ephesus, encourages us to address our anger with those we are angry with at the appropriate time. Sometimes, people need to cool down. Once both parties have calmed down, Paul encourages people to address their anger before “the sun goes down”. I encourage you, this week, to practice this. It can be difficult to talk about our anger but, when we do, healing can happen.

Prayer: God, there is no time like today. Give me the courage and guidance to address my anger and emotions with honesty. Amen.
