A Message From Pastor (04-04-2020)

Hello Church Family!

I pray that you all are staying healthy and safe.  I thought that a time of social distancing might bring a little bit of boredom.  However, like many of you I am finding that this time is even busier than normal.  I pray that God is with each of you during this time.  This Sunday is Palm Sunday and we will be continuing with online worship.  I invite you all to gather together on the Connect Church Facebook page at 10:15 this Sunday morning for virtual worship.  When we gather together for facebook live we get an opportunity to talk together and be together even though we are not together physically.  I hope you will join me for Palm Sunday worship.

This Sunday we will also be making communion available for anyone who would like to receive.  From 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM this Sunday you can come by the church and pick up communion for your family.  You can call the church phone number (405-285-7068) or email me (adam@connectumc.org) between 12:00 – 1:00 this Sunday to let me know how many communion servings you need.  These communion servings are pre-packaged and handled with care.  We will place the number of servings you request in a paper bag with your name written on the bag.  The bag will be placed on the curb for you to pickup.  You may want to request enough communion for your family for several weeks so that we can take the communion together during our live Sunday morning broadcasts.  Communion is a special time for me to receive God’s presence so I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity as well.  During this time we want to make sure that all of our families are being cared for.

This Thursday we will also be having a virtual prayer meeting via zoom.  The details on how to access this prayer meeting were included in the emailed newsletter. If you didn’t receive, and would like the link/password information, contact Matt (matt@connectumc.org) .
