ANGER
Tuesday
Read: Proverbs 14:17
17 A quick-tempered person does foolish things, and the one who devises evil schemes is hated. (NIV Proverbs 14:17)
Study: Yesterday, we talked about the times in our lives when anger is justified. Today’s verse warns readers about the dangers of a quick temper. We have all lost our temper at times and said things we regret. Rarely does a person do something in a fit of rage or with a quick temper that they are proud of. When our anger overpowers up, that is when it can lead to sin. What are ways you deal with anger when it creeps up on you? This week, especially being cooped up inside, you might find yourself being tested by your family. If you find yourself facing anger, try breathing and going to God in prayer.
Prayer: Almighty God, when I am angry, calm me. When I am quick tempered, slow my thoughts. Center my thoughts and actions on you. Amen.
