Happiness Guide – Gratitude Journal Day 8 – October 23, 2019
This week we are continuing the practice of journaling. Grab a notebook and for the next few days read the daily verse and journal question, then write your thoughts. Journaling can be a great way to “voice” or organize the jumble in our heart and mind to more clearly see God’s path for us.
Wednesday
Read: Matthew 5:11-12
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. ” (NIV Matthew 5:11-12)
Journal: Think of a time when someone in your life was quarrelsome, or seemed to be conspiring against you or competing with you in some way, threatening your happiness. Journal about how you dealt with the situation and preserved your joy. What steps will you take next time to choose to be happy?
