What is your biggest obstacle when it comes to your neighbors? For most people, including those in this story, it is time. We are very busy people. We do not have time to get to know our neighbors. But Jesus tells us that those who follow him will make time for their neighbors. We have to treat getting to know our neighbors as a priority if we want to take what Jesus said seriously. I will not just happen. We have to take intentional steps to make it happen. A block party is a great first step in this direction. What other things can you do today to make getting to know your neighbors a priority?
