FEAR

Read: Romans 8:38-39 ESV
“38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. ” (Romans 8:38-39 ESV)
Study: One of the most base fears of human beings is to not be wanted. Some of the most potent pain can come when we are afraid we have messed up too much to be loved. The fear of being alone is one of the great fears of the human condition. These verses in Romans are simple, but give us a life changing truth about God’s love. It does not matter what happens, what we do, who is involved, what power may be at work, God’s love is more powerful. We do not have to be afraid of anything because God’s love will overcome. There is nothing that you have to fear because God is with you now and forever. Do not be afraid because you are not alone.
Prayer: God help me let go of my fears. My fear of inadequacy, my fear of the future, the unknown, fear of failure, and fear of loss. God, remind me that while life may be difficult at times, I do not have to be afraid because you are with me.
