Own It: Stewardship Series
What does it look like to be good steward of what God has given you?
In this series, we will look at the Parable of the Talents found in Matthew 25 and explore what it has to teach us about using the gifts God has entrusted us with responsibly. Money can be a difficult topic in church and in our families but, through this series, we hope you will begin to see the importance of being a good steward. Over the next few weeks, you will begin to see that money is a tool and a gift that God gives us. It is our responsibility to Own It and use it wisely.
On this page you can fill out your 2019 pledge card. These pledges are essential in allowing Connect Church to plan for our future ministries. All members are asked to turn in a pledge card to help our leadership make the best decisions possible. Guests and regular attenders are welcome to turn in a pledge card if they wish.
Please take some time and discuss with your family what level of commitment God is calling you to make in 2019. It is our goal to have all pledge cards turned in on or before November 18, 2018. You can turn in your cards in the offering plate on a Sunday morning or fill out this form below. On November 18th we will have “Pledge Sunday” where we will not only turn in our cards, but also take some intentional time to celebrate together. After the 11:00 service we will be having a chili cook-off and dessert bake-off, so bring your favorite chili and/or dessert to share! There will be a competition where everyone can vote for their favorite chili and dessert by donating a dollar. The chili and dessert with the most donations will earn bragging rights and be known as the “Best Connect Church Chili” or “Best Connect Church Baker” (until the next competition at least)! Money from contest will be donated to the Connect UMC Missions funds. We look forward to seeing you there.
