WHY HOPE? – GRACE
Read: Revelation 21:4 ESV
” He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Study: For the next several weeks at Connect Church we will be talking about irrational hope. But it is important to recognize that hope does not mean that we ignore hardship and pain. Hope does not mean that we pretend that difficulties do not exist. On the contrary, followers of Jesus are sober about pain, hardship, and challenges. However, in the midst of all difficulties we believe that Jesus will bring about goodness. Because Jesus will bring about goodness we can be a people of hope even in the midst of hardship. What sort of hardships and difficulties are you facing? Do you believe that those hardships and difficulties are bigger than God? What can you do to have an attitude of hope in the midst of difficulties.
Prayer: God I want to be a person of hope in the midst of all hardship. I know that I will have to address and confront challenges, but I want to do so with hope. Please give me the ability not to ignore problems, but to be hopeful in the midst of darkness.
