Daily Devotional Guide – December 8
Nothing Is Impossible With God
Teaching:
When an angel appeared to Mary, she received a stunning and life changing promise from the God. After receiving that promise Mary just had to wait and see what God was going to do next. Waiting on God can feel incredibly difficult, even when we believe in our hearts that nothing is impossible for Him. The waiting did not erase her confusion or her questions, and it certainly did not give her the full picture of what God was planning. Waiting becomes especially hard when we only see a small piece of the story, while God sees everything from beginning to end. Just like Mary, we often stand in places where we know what God has said but do not yet see the outcome. In those moments, the weight of uncertainty can make the waiting feel impossible. What feels impossible to us is completely manageable in His hands. God invites us to acknowledge our struggle honestly because honesty creates space for surrender. When we confess that the waiting is hard, we open our hearts for God to strengthen us. Surrendering in impossible moments is not pretending the struggle doesn’t exist; it’s choosing to trust God in the middle of it. God’s promises are stronger than our fears, and His power is far greater than the obstacles we see. Just as Mary learned to surrender to God’s promise, we too can face our waiting seasons with courage, knowing that nothing is impossible with Him.
Scripture Reading: Luke 1:26–33
Prayer:
Lord, I admit that waiting for You can feel overwhelming and confusing. Help me trust that nothing is impossible for You, even when I see no progress. Give me grace to surrender my expectations to Your perfect timing. Strengthen my faith as I wait for Your promises to unfold. Let me learn to rest in Your power instead of my own understanding.
Questions for Meditation:
1. Why does waiting feel impossible for me right now?
2. What part of God’s plan am I struggling to understand?
3. How does remembering God’s power strengthen my faith?
