God Is More Faithful Than We Expect

Teaching:

One of the beautiful truths revealed in Mary and Elizabeth’s meeting is that God is far more faithful than His people often expect. Elizabeth, once barren and older in age, was now carrying a promise she had long given up on. Mary was carrying a child she never expected, fulfilling a promise she never knew was coming. Both women experienced God’s faithfulness in ways that reached beyond their hopes and timelines. Waiting often tempts us to doubt, but God never forgets what He has spoken or promised. Even when we feel overlooked, God is working faithfully to fulfill His word. Faithfulness is not just something God does—it is part of who He is. When Elizabeth said, “Blessed is she who believed,” she affirmed God’s unwavering loyalty to His promises. God’s faithfulness reaches into places we considered too broken, too late, or too impossible. Often our expectations limit what we believe God can do, but God’s faithfulness shatters the boundaries we create. He shows up at the perfect time, in the perfect way, for the perfect purpose. When waiting turns to wonder, we see just how consistent and dependable God has always been. No matter how long the silence, God’s promises remain sure. When we look back at His faithfulness, trust begins to rise in our hearts for what He will do next.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being more faithful than I expect. Help me trust Your promises even when I cannot see results yet. Remind me that You never forget Your word. Fill my waiting with confidence instead of doubt. Strengthen my faith as I remember Your past faithfulness.

2. How has God proven faithful in seasons when I doubted?
3. What promise do I need to trust God with again?
