God’s Plans Will Leave You Amazed

Teaching:

Do you know why we should choose to wait on God? It is because his plans are far bigger and more beautiful than anything we could have imagined on our own. In Luke 1 Mary traveled to visit Elizabeth with a heart full of questions, yet she was surprised by the overwhelming confirmation of God’s promise. Elizabeth’s Spirit-filled greeting reminded Mary that God had been working behind the scenes long before she realized it. Waiting gives God room to reveal the depth, creativity, and power of His plans. What feels slow or uncertain to us is often the space where God is preparing something breathtaking. Many times, we dream small because we see our limitations, while God dreams big because he is limitless. When waiting turns to wonder, we suddenly realize that God’s imagination far exceeds our own. Mary expected a quiet visit, but instead she encountered miraculous affirmation that filled her with awe. In the same way, God often surprises us with blessings that surpass our expectations. His plans always weave together details we could never have predicted. God’s best work takes time, and his timing produces outcomes that leave us amazed. Waiting may feel hard, but wonder is worth the journey. God is always preparing something greater than we think, and when it arrives, we will be overwhelmed by his goodness.

Recommended Scripture Reading: Luke 1:39–41

Prayer:

Lord, help me trust that Your plans are greater than anything I can dream. Fill my waiting with hope instead of fear. Open my eyes to the wonder of what You are doing in my life. Give me faith to believe that Your work will amaze me. Teach me to rest in the greatness of Your plans.

Questions for Meditation:
1. Where might God be preparing something bigger than I expect?
2. How have I seen God surprise me before?
3. What dream or expectation do I need to surrender to God?
